When I was a kid....

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an actress more than anything in the world. I took acting classes. I was in several plays. I was in the pilot of a TV show called Spotlight Tonight. However as I got into my teen years, I found that the competition was rough and I just didn't have the skills necessary to compete. Had this book been around when I was younger, it might have made a huge difference. If you have a child or teen that wants to be an actor, the best thing you can do for them is to give them as the tools they need to be successful. This book is one of those tools.

Scenes for Teens is a collection of fifty original comedy and drama selections for teenage actors. The scenes are written for two actors, are gender-neutral, and intentionally exclude extraneous characters, costumes, props, entrances, exits, and stage directions. In this way, Scenes for Teens is specifically designed to help young actors practice dialogue in a conversational and realistic manner. This allows actors to focus on the one-on-one relationship.
