Author Kathryn Kaye is taking the world of juvenile fiction
by storm with her new book series for kids and teens, entitled Spirit Seekers.
The first book in the trilogy, The Haunted Lighthouse is available now. The
second book, entitled The Abandoned Mine will be coming out in October and the
third book, The Creepy Carnival is due to hit stores before Christmas. These
books are retailing for $6.99 in stores now. However, Kathryn Kaye has joined
several other authors in the Get Your Kids to Read Movement, which is working
to entice children to real full length chapter books for the sheer enjoyment of
reading. One of the perks of this movement is that many authors are lowering
the prices of their books when they are in e-reader format. This reduced price
can help bring books to families who may not otherwise be able to afford them.
Kathryn Kaye sponsors this movement, and has therefore lowered the price of the
Kindle version of the Spirit Seekers series to only $1.99 per book! She also
plans to offer the trilogy together at an even greater savings, following the
release of the last book this December.
Kathryn Kaye hopes that offering books to children at a
reduced cost will help to inspire children to adopt of love of reading. She
stated in a recent interview that her own children were a source of inspiration
in writing the series and that her oldest son helped to contribute ideas to the
story lines of all three books.
"I greatly valued my ten year old son's opinions as I
wrote the Spirit Seeker Series. As he is the same age as many of the children
who will be reading the book. He also provided honest and useful criticism,
which I took under great consideration. After all, I want the book to be
something that kids will actually enjoy reading and not just something they
read because they have to." - Kathyrn Kaye on the release of Spirit
Seekers: The Haunted Lighthouse.
Kathryn Kaye may be new to the genre of juvenile fiction,
but she is certainly no stranger to the world of paranormal stories. Her book,
True Tales of Ghostly Experiences, The Ghost Family of Pennsylvania is a real
hit and is nearing the best seller lists. This spine tingling story is not a
fiction tale, brought forth by the author's wicked imagination. It is based on
the true story of a real American haunting. The cover photo on this one has
sparked a world of controversy, as it claims to be a real picture of one of the
ghosts in the story. As of yet, no one has been able to discredit the very
dramatic photograph and the story is sparking a flood of commentary in
paranormal circles all over the internet. If you are looking for a good, true
story about ghosts and restless spirits, you can find this one on Kindle as
well.
